Orlando Ortega also wins in Hungary

Orlando Ortega extended his triumphant week and achieved an agonizing victory (13.21) this Wednesday in the 110-meter hurdles against prestigious rivals at the Gyulai Memorial in Hungary, where he sealed his first place in the last meters after beating the World champion in Doha, the American Grant Holloway.

Just eight days after signing the best world record of the year in the Monaco Diamond League (13.11), Orlando Ortega returned to compete successfully despite completing a terrible start in a race in which the best world records of the year competed. The French Wilhem Belocian, third in the Monaco Diamond League, the British Andrew Pozzi, second in the same race and, above all, Holloway, who came out like a runaway horse to touch a victory that the Spanish athlete took in the end .

Orlando, behind in the last hurdles, rallied to a tight finish that ended up on his side on the last stretch, when Holloway even smiled at the thought of victory.

However, with a time of 13.22, Holloway was second, while his compatriot Freddie Criteenden, runner-up in Lima at the Pan American Games, surprised Pozzi and Belocian with third place. But, the first place, once again in the last week, went to Orlando Ortega, who flew in the last two hurdles.
