Orlando Bloom has a new tattoo. After his fans initially speculated what it was supposed to mean, he declared: It is for his son. But apparently a small mistake has crept in there.
There are dots and lines that Orlando Bloom is now carrying. The actor explained that it was his son’s name in Morse code and the date of birth.
Where is the mistake?
While many fans find the idea nice and write in the Instagram comments how great it is that he dedicates a tattoo to his son, first doubts arise: Is the name “Flynn” really spelled correctly?
Some fans ask the actor “Is your son called Frynn?” They point out that a letter error has crept into the Morse code.
One point makes the difference
If you take a closer look at the tattoo, it says:

That really means Frynn.
The name Flynn is written as Morse code like this:
. . _ . . _ . . _ . _ _ _ . _ .
A small but fine dot makes the difference. The Morse code for R is a dot-dash-dot. For L it’s dot-dash-dot-dot
Not the only celebrity tattoo fail
But Orlando Bloom is not alone with his tattoo fail. Rihanna, Ariana Grande and David Beckham weren’t really paying attention when tattooing either.
Rihanna had the lettering “rebellious flower” tattooed in French. But a small grammatical error has crept in here. “Rebelle fleur” – that is, rebel flower – is on her neck. Since the adjective always follows the noun in French, it should have been called “fleur rebelle”.
Ariana Grande also broke down. The singer wanted a memory of her hit “7 Rings” as a tattoo. However, the tattooed Japanese characters have nothing to do with the singer’s song. They mean something like “small charcoal grill”.
Footballer David Beckham wanted his wife’s name to get under his skin. But instead of “Victoria” there is “Victhoria”. But since the lettering is written in Sanskrit, the typing error is not noticeable at first glance.
