At 39, Elise Noiraud has made a name for herself in the world of theater, as well as in the columns of critics. In its ranking of the best shows to see in November 2022, Télérama praises “this incisive and terribly moving actress”and his show The field of possibilities. This stage solo, from his autobiographical triptych, recounts the young Deux-Sévrien’s arrival in Paris.
Originally from La Morthe-Saint-Hevray, Elise Noiraud discovered her calling during the workshops held by her high school in Melle. There she gradually cultivates her growing passion for the theatre. “We do shows every year, of good quality, with contemporary texts. It was an important experience”, he confides in front of our camera.
The discovery of Philippe Caubère’s work at the National Stage in Niort ended up completely convincing her. It’s an autobiography on stage. Gender seduces her. After training at the Ateliers de Sudden and graduating in modern literature in Paris, she creates her own autofiction: Elisea 4h30 single on stage, divided into three pieces, where he recounts his transition from childhood, to adolescence, then to adulthood.
Full of self-irony, the show speaks to each of us (who hasn’t felt a little lost at 18?): away from her family, the young woman learns to free herself from maternal but also social needs. Through a battery of characters (all of whom she embodies beautifully), the actress delivers a powerful and moving story of empowerment.
It is a social theatre. I try to transcribe our world on stage. Whether it is intimate, family or social. We are made of both the intimate and the social world in which we grow up.
