“Original Climber Muhammad Hawari Hashim Disappears on Top of Mount Everest in Malaysia”

Original climber Malaysia named Muhammad Hawari Hashim (33) disappeared after reaching the top of the highest mountain in the world, Gunung Everest. Hawari was last seen when she was about to leave Camp 4.

According to the Malaysian news agency, NamedSaturday (20/5/2023), this was confirmed by expedition leader Azim Afif Ishak, who said the search operation was ongoing.

Muhammad Hawari, disappeared while on his way down to Camp 3 after reaching the summit of Mount Everest.

Azim Afif said the last time he heard from the climber was at Camp 4.

Missing Since Friday

Meanwhile, Nepal’s English-language daily, The Himalayan Timesquoting the director of expedition operator Pioneer Adventure Nivest Karki, said that Hawari had been missing since Friday (19/5) and search efforts were still underway.
