Orient Express, a luxury train service company, is about to build the biggest yacht in Lake. French companies Accor and Chantier de Latlantique are building the fighting yacht Silences. The first look posters of the yacht are out. Orient Express officials describe the yacht as a new chapter in the history of sea voyages.
The pitfalls
The 220-meter-long Orient Express Silences features 54 suites of 70 square meters for guests. The ship will also have a 1,415 square meter dedicated Presidential Suite with all the luxury amenities. The Presidential Suite also comes with a 530 square meter private terrace. Two swimming pools, two restaurants and two bars will be provided.

The ship is equipped with a private recording studio for performing and recording shows. Passengers will also have access to spas, meditation sessions and port visits. “We are starting a new chapter in history with Orient Express Express. “Guests will have the opportunity to cruise through some of the world’s most beautiful oceans with luxurious amenities,” said Sébastien Bassin, CEO and Chairman of hospitality group Accor.

George Nigel Meekers, the founder of the Orient Express, made a voyage in 1867. Influenced by George Nigel Makers’ journey across the Atlantic Ocean from Europe to America, he later started a luxury train company called the Orient Express.
‘Solid sail’ design
The yacht is given a design called a solid sail. Three huge mats are prepared on the boat. The surface area of these mats is 1500 m. These mats are sufficient to propel the yacht in suitable weather conditions. The yacht will also have an LNG engine. If approved, the yacht will also use green hydrogen technology. The interior design will be done by renowned interior designer Maxime d’Angiec. Shipbuilding company Chantier de Latlantique said it would sign the contract to build the yacht in a few weeks. The Orient Express is scheduled to launch in March 2026.
