Organizers of AR Rahman’s Marakkuma Nenjam Concert Booked for Selling Double Tickets: Chennai Police Case

Chennai ∙ Tambaram police registered a case against the organizers of AR Rahman music night for selling double tickets than allowed. The case is against ACTC Events, which organized the ‘Marakkuma Nesham’ event held on the 10th. Traffic jams through illegal ticket sales and violence against women were taking place.

Complaints were also raised that the program was organized without adequate facilities. After receiving many complaints, DGP Shankar Jeewal ordered the action. The investigation was conducted by a team led by Tambaram Commissioner A. Amalraj. It was found that more than 40,000 tickets were sold while only 20,000 tickets were allowed to be sold.
