The new Trail’in Fontenay formula proposed by the local tennis club seems to have won over fans of nature races since there will be nearly 900, Sunday morning, running or walking on the various courses concocted by the organization.
If the commitments had started slowly, the counter has been panicking in recent weeks to the delight of the organizers who have stepped up communication actions to publicize their event. Challenge won with regard to participation since, Thursday evening, 898 entries in all events had been registered. A great satisfaction for the TCF and its 110 volunteers in this period of sanitary constraints and all the more so as the weather conditions do not promise to be the most lenient. But it’s not a few drops of rain that will frighten walkers and trailers. On the sporting side, great races are announced in the trail events with the presence of specialists in the discipline, Julien Peltier (Sobhi) and Arnaud Huet (Occba) over the 24 kilometers. Less specialized but no less efficient for all that, Saïd Lazaar (Passion Running du Perche) and Olivier Pétrus (Aclam) will line up on the median distance (16 km) while on the shorter one (8 km), it will be interesting to follow the behavior of the two young athletes of Aclam, Brieuc De Kersabiec who participated in the 3000m French championships this summer and Corentin Chevalier who will be opposed to the experienced Kévin Gilgert (Epernon).
