She has breast cancer and has no social work. His peers donated their products to raise funds.

The street vendors of the 18 de Noviembre neighborhood organized a raffle to benefit María Mercedes Mamani, who has worked at the fair for 18 years. “I’m going through advanced breast cancer, I can’t work, I’m bedridden at home,” said the worker at the local retail fair.

Doing the daily purchases at the fair, our colleague, Luis Sánchez, learns of the situation that a fair worker located in the 18 de Noviembre neighborhood is going through. From there, the initiative to collaborate with María Mercedes Mamani was born

Sánchez thanked the vendors who donated the prizes and who purchased the respective numbers from a raffle, the purchase of the numbers, and the donation of generous prizes from the local fair workers.

As a result of the raffle, the sum of $ 64,750 (pesos) was collected by hand to the lady affected by an illness that keeps her at rest.

Condori María Mercedes, a fairground vendor for 18 years, is the mother of 5 children and, in dialogue with El Tribuno de Jujuy, stated “I am sick, I cannot work at the fair, my daughters do it because I am bedridden,” He said.

He is 41 years old and lives in the 18 de Noviembre neighborhood, Calle Juanita Moro Nº 22, an address that he authorized to publish for those who want to collaborate.

“I have advanced breast cancer, my bones are breaking, I have no social work and thanks to efforts they have managed to have medication today, including painkillers and other complementary remedies. On May 20, I started chemotherapy treatment thanks to the help I received, but they don’t assure me that the next session can be done in 20 days, in a 6-month treatment, “he said.

Moved by the solidarity of her fellow showmen, friends and neighbors of the place, she pointed out through tears “I thank you with all my heart and I pray for health and strength for my colleagues who collaborated and I ask the women to do their studies on time”, in a moving message from a working woman at the fair who, despite being going through a terrible disease, thinks of the other and asks women to do their studies on time.

The money from the proceeds was handed over to Mamani, while he received other cash donations from the vendors mobilized by a colleague who worked alongside them 18 years ago.
