Organizational changes in Asisa to reinforce the commercial area, the group has created the position of general management of the business area that will be headed by Luis Beraza. The company’s objective is to continue promoting its strategic commercial transformation plans with the aim of diversifying its activity, accelerating its growth, improving its profitability and establishing new forms of relationship and bonding with its customers.
Beraza has extensive experience in the financial sector, where he has accumulated extensive experience in the areas of retail and corporate banking, digital banking and channel management, customer intelligence, data analysis and marketing, among others.
In addition, the manager was responsible for the domestic business and the commercial transformation since the creation of Abanca in 2014. Under his responsibility, more than 700 offices operated in ten different territories with a staff of more than 3,000 employees. Beraza has also worked at McKinsey, mainly dedicated to the financial and insurance sector, where he has participated in international projects in more than fifteen countries.

Luis Beraza has a degree in Administration and Business from the San Pablo CEU University in Madrid and a Master’s in Finance from the Iese Business School in Barcelona. The manager will lead the business transformation plans of the company, which in recent years has diversified its activity to become an insurer focused on caring for individuals and families with its portfolio of health and dental, life, accident, funerals, pets and travel assistance.
Owned by the Lavinia cooperative of doctors, Asisa is a company founded in 1971 that is dedicated to healthcare in Spain. The group is made up of sixteen own clinics and one owned clinic, it has more than 28 medical centers and 15 diagnostic units.
The insurer obtained a premium volume of 1,425.8 million euros in 2022, which translates into 7% more compared to 2021. In the insurance field, Asisa continued to make progress in 2022 in its insurance activity diversification strategy to strengthen its multi-branch presence and grew in all the branches in which it operates (health and dental, life, accident, death, pets and travel assistance). In total, the group serves almost 2.9 million policyholders.
