NEW YORK – The Catholic Charity Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens will distribute 900 turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner, and food coupons for cooking them, to low-income families and individuals in Brooklyn and Queens as part of the Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drawing.
The organization, founded in 1899, conducts this activity every year to provide families with the food they need for the Thanksgiving celebration.
To receive one of the turkeys, people must follow the following measures:
- One turkey per family will be given.
- The person picking it up must be over 18 years old and wearing a mask due to the pandemic.
- It is important to respect physical distancing.
- It is recommended to bring a market bag to place the product.
- No identification document or reservation is required to go.

Turkeys 12-14 pound distribution will be on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, $ 25 food stamps will be distributed to prepare the turkey.
