Organ theft: – Found brutally murdered

Many months ago, during the corona pandemic, Blanca Olivia Arellano Gutiérrez (51) from Mexico became interested in a man on the Internet.

Juan Villafuerte (37) from Peru returned the charm.

As the months went by, Blanca decided to meet Juan in his homeland.

In July of this year, she boarded the plane in her hometown of Mexico City.

Last sign of life

On November 7, Karla Arellano talks on the phone with Blanca. The 51-year-old tells her granddaughter that life in Peru is good and that she is in love with her.

The phone call was Blanca’s last sign of life.

A silver ring floating in the sea of Huacho was the first clue that helped investigators uncover the most brutal murder of a woman in Peru, writes the largest Spanish newspaper Village.

The ring was on a severed finger that was missing the fingertip.

Shock discovery

On November 9, local fishermen make a discovery in the sea outside the city of Huacho, in the Lima region: a faceless head and a severed arm.

The next day, near a popular beach, a torso without organs is discovered.

Back home in Mexico, Blanca’s family begins to worry. Three days after her torso was found, her niece leaves Karla takes to Twitter and reports her aunt missing.

– I never thought I’d end up in this situation, but today I’m asking for help in identifying one of the most loved and important people in my life. My aunt Blanca Olivia Arellano Gutiérrez passed away on Monday November 7 in Peru. She is of Mexican descent. We fear for her life, writes Karla.

Revealed

Coroners in Peru quickly determine that the ring at sea is identical to the ring Blanca is wearing in several private photos.

On November 15, the police went into action at the home of Juan Villafuerte. To the naked eye, the apartment looked clean and tidy. However, the Luminol test – which emits a blue light to make blood traces visible – revealed bloodstains in both the bathroom and laundry room, on cleaning products and on the bed mattress.

The police also found a suitcase with women’s clothes and a Mexican flag, writes El Pais.

Juan Villafuerte was arrested on suspicion of murder and organ theft. The local television station reports it latin news.

However, police believe the 37-year-old could not have been alone behind the crime:

“Experts believe that the mutilation, in particular the disfigurement of the face, was carried out by a specialist”, writes the Spanish newspaper, and specifies that Blanca’s family has arrived in the capital Lima to formally identify the remains.

Demonstrations

After the brutal murder became known in both Peru and Mexico, several women and men took to the streets to show support for Blanca and her family in Mexico.

– I want to thank everyone who took to the streets to demonstrate for my beloved Aunt Blanca. I wish I was there, but I’m with you from afar. Sending you all my love and infinite gratitude, signed granddaughter Karla Chirping.
