Comonfort, Guanajuato.- Edgar, 15 years old, he died in a car accident and became a hero by being an organ donor.
The Guanajuato Health Secretariat activated the Life Code in the General Hospital of Celaya, where there is a license to procure organs.
One of the kidneys of the minor was transplanted in the Pediatric Hospital of León; the other was sent to Children’s Hospital of Mexico.
The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato, Daniel Díaz Martínez, thanked Édgar’s family for the decision to donate organs.
Friends of the family contributed to make the donation and thus give life hope to other people.
As recognition, the family received a donor hero cape from the staff of the State Transplant Center (Cetra), which was placed on the coffin of Édgar, because he belonged to the basic forces of Celaya and was a renowned athlete, therefore that his mother and father decided that when he died he would wear their last medal, that of hero.
