ORF Success at the German Film Award 2024: “The Fox” receives Silver Lola as “Best Feature Film”

Also: Award for “Best Male Lead” to Simon Morzé, “Best Supporting Actress” to Adele Neuhauser; three awards for “The Theory of Everything”

Berlin (OTS) “The Fox”, “15 Years” and “Theory of Everything”:
At the German Film Award 2024, three cinema films co-financed by ORF as part of the film/television agreement were awarded prestigious Lolas today, on Friday, May 3, 2024. The prestigious awards were given over for the 74th time and the ceremony was held in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The historical drama “The Fox” (five nominations in total – also for “Best Script”, “Best Camera Design / Image”, “Best Visual Effects”), in which the director and screenwriter Adrian Goiginger tells the true story of his great. -Grandfather, who died in the Second World War meets a fox cub and discovers faith in love through his close relationship with him, was honored with the silver Lola for “Best Feature Film” (producers: Hana Geißendörfer, Malte Can, Gerrit Klein). Simon Morzé also received the “Best Male Lead” award for his performance in the film. The award for “Best Supporting Actress” went to Adele Neuhauser for her performance in the drama “15 Years” (three nominations in total – also for “Best Actress” and “Best Supporting Actress”) about a pianist who after her prison sentence finds herself in a battle with herself and the world. The thriller “The Theory of Everything” (six nominations in total – also for “Best Feature Film”, “Best Director”, “Best Film Music”) was nominated in the “Best Cinematography / Cinematography” categories ” (Roland Stuprich) , “Best Visual Effects” (Kariem Saleh, Adrian Meyer) and “Best Production Design” (Cosima Vellenzer, Anika Klatt). The ORF was also represented with four nominations each for “A Whole Life” (“Best Feature Film”, “Best Sound Design”, “Best Production Design”, “Best Makeup Design”) and “Stella . Life.
