Taylor Swift was actually supposed to give big concerts in Vienna today and over the past two days as part of her worldwide “Eras Tour”. However, due to the serious threat of terrorism, all three of the US superstar’s concerts were cancelled at short notice. As compensation for the approximately 170,000 fans who had been looking forward to the concerts for months, the ORF now has good news: At short notice, the Austrian broadcaster ORF 1 is adding the concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” to its program this Saturday evening at 9:45 p.m. – which also represents a worldwide free TV premiere.
This was made possible by an agreement between ORF and the streaming service Disney+, which offers the more than three-hour concert film exclusively. Disney+ announces in parallel: Dear Swifties, we have teamed up with ORF and are showing you all the Disney+ concert film ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)’ as a free TV premiere this evening at 9:45 p.m. on ORF 1.
This will result in changes to the program schedule, as ORF 1 was originally scheduled to broadcast the Summer Olympics all evening. This will be the case until 9:45 p.m., after which the live broadcast will switch to the specialty channel ORF Sport+.
