ORF: Salzburg’s “Tosca” broadcast with Netrebko is canceled

It was the last major opera premiere at this year’s Salzburg Festival and a week later also planned as a major television event: Anna Netrebko in Michael Sturminger’s “Tosca” production from 2018.

Now the ORF but informed by its production partners at the Salzburg Festival and UNITEL that the delayed ORF-2 live broadcast of Salzburg’s “Tosca” on Friday, August 27th at 8:15 pm will be canceled, as announced in a broadcast on Monday evening. The TV production planned for the performance days August 24th and 27th had to be canceled “for organizational and disposition reasons”.
