Orestes Barbero, legendary ‘Pasapalabra’ contestant who accumulated more than 300 programs, already has a new television project. Known for his great skill in ‘El Rosco’, he eventually lost the show’s pot to Rafa Castaño and was eliminated.

Months after his defeat, RTVE has announced the format that has welcomed the man from Burgos: ‘The Hunter’. Star program of the house and of the afternoons of La 1, presented by Rodrigo Vázquez, will feature from this Thursday, October 19, Orestes in his team of hunters.
Erundino Alonso, Paz Herrera, Ruth de Andrés and Lilit Manukyan will have one more in the team starting this week. “Very happy and excited to join the family of ‘The Hunter’, he deeply admires the rest of the hunters, but he is determined to become the most relentless in the history of the contest,” RTVE announced in a statement.
From a very young age he was passionate about ‘Pasapalabra’. In 2016, at just 19 years old, he debuted in the program when he still belonged to Telecinco, presented by Christian Gálvez. Despite his youth and having never faced a camera, Orestes was surprised by his self-confidence and his knowledge. Later, to mark the 20 years of the format, he officially returned in 2020, although he left without getting the pot.
Born in Burgos 26 years ago, he has studied Philology and now a degree in Philosophy. He considers himself a person who enjoys the small pleasures of a daily life in continuous learning.
“I like to go to my humanistic contribution classes, read, watch good cinema, contemplate good art, the usual getaways to learn about our natural and human heritage, and above all simple, but substantial conversations with worthwhile people. I love it spend quality time with my loved ones, whatever the plan may be,” explains the new hunter.
