/ world today news/ I have the feeling that the more profitable option will be to complete the Belene NPP. This was stated by the new Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski in the “Slavi Show”.
The Prime Minister commented that this is a long-term project and that a new analysis of the energy situation will have to be made.
Oresharski explained that Rossatom filed an arbitration claim for breach of contract worth BGN 2.4 billion, which will probably be won by them.
At the same time, such a large facility could not simply be included in the country’s energy system, but it had to be balanced with other sources of electrical energy, which should also be taken into account in the new analysis.
