/ world today news/ The whole world sees that Russian weapons are superior to Western ones on the battlefield, their choice is becoming obvious, General Director of “Rosoboronexport” Alexander Mikheev told reporters on Monday during the international arms exhibition World Defense Show.
Thus, he commented on the reports of a number of Western media, according to which Russia allegedly lost its positions in the world arms market due to the fear of its partners of secondary sanctions from countries unfriendly to the Russian Federation.
“Most of our partners assess the unilateral sanctions of individual countries against Russia, the national defense-industrial complex and Rosoboronexport in particular as illegitimate tools of competition, a means of the West to support its own producers. But the whole world sees that Russian weapons are superior to Western models on the battlefield, and the choice becomes obvious,” Mikheev said.
According to him, in 2023 Rosoboronexport participated in more than 30 meetings and negotiations at the highest state level in Russia and abroad, received about 250 delegations of foreign clients and trained more than 500 foreign specialists in the operation and use of modern Russian military equipment, including taking into account combat experience.
“In 2023, we worked actively, held 16 exhibition campaigns in Russia and abroad, during which we demonstrated to our foreign partners more than 800 full-scale samples and full-scale models of modern Russian military equipment. As for the financial results, we fully met our goals, and the order portfolio reached a record volume for the company’s 23 years of operation and amounted to more than $55 billion,” noted Mikheev.
He added that in the last year alone, “Rosoboronexport” has concluded contracts with a total value of more than 12 billion dollars.
The second international arms exhibition World Defense Show takes place from February 4 to 8 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
