Cho Gue Sung is one of the new faces of the South Korean national team who has suddenly become a star World Cup 2022.
Gue Sung is still 24 years old and is a minority in the South Korean national team that contains senior players.
However, the striker of the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors club managed to repay the trust of coach Paulo Bento. Gue Sung scored two of South Korea’s four goals at the 2022 World Cup.

Recently, Gue Sung’s name is also on the rise because Cristiano Ronaldo scolded him in the South Korea-Portugal match.
Ronaldo showed a silent gesture to Gue Sung who asked him to leave the field immediately when the substitution board shown by the assistant referee indicated that Portugal’s number 7 should come off in the 65th minute.
“Before being replaced, one of their players told me to leave as soon as possible. I told him to shut up, he had no authority. He didn’t need to say anything,” Ronaldo said quoted by the Mirror.
“I’ll speed up the pace if the referee says so. He doesn’t have to. There’s no controversy, it happened in the heat of the match,” said the Selcao das Quinas captain.
