Honda has been shipping its new SUV, the Honda WR-V, since early December. So far, more than 2,000 consumers have ordered the Honda WR-V.
According to Yusak Billy, director of business innovation and sales and marketing at PT Honda Prospect Motor, as of Sunday (12/18/2022), or about a week after the first consumer delivery, 2,580 Honda WR units have been ordered. -V.
“51% is the CVT RS, 45% is (the RS type with) Honda Sensing. Then the other 4% is the E CVT,” Billy explained on the sidelines of the Honda WR-V media test drive event at Ubud, Bali, Monday ( 19/12/2022).
Billy said Honda could only ship 1,700 Honda WR-Vs with chassis number 2022 this year. The rest will ship next year.
“That’s because semiconductor chips are still unstable. Next year it will still be the same, through March (Honda WR-V shipments) of about 1,500-1,700 units per month. Because semiconductor chips are still unstable,” said Billy .

For the waiting period or pivot, according to Billy, every region is different. Maybe there are some areas that are ready for delivery, there are also those where the queue stretches until February.
Next year the prices go up
Billy also confirmed that the price of the Honda WR-V could increase starting January 2023. This is because several factors influenced the sale price earlier in the year.
“Obviously there will be a price adjustment in 2023. How much we cannot announce yet. Because there is biofuel, NJKB is different, so the production cost is different. We will definitely tell you in early January,” he said. said Billy.
Billy pointed out that if consumers order the Honda WR-V now but receive next year’s unit with chassis number 2023, a new price will be charged.
“So the key is in the chassis number. Chassis number 2022, yes, the current price. Chassis number 2023, obviously there are adjustments,” explained Billy.

- WR-V & CVT IDR 271.9 million
- CVT RS WR-V IDR 289.9 million
- WR-V RS CVT with Honda Sensing IDR 309.9 million.
