TRIBUNPONTIANAK.CO.ID – Planets are celestial bodies that orbit around the Sun.
The planet has sufficient mass for its own gravitational force to overcome the rigid body force so that it takes the form of hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly spherical) and has cleared the environment around its orbit.
Quoted from solarsystem.nasa.gov, celestial bodies in the solar system must have 3 criteria to be called planets.
First, the planet must orbit a star.
Then the planet must be large enough to have enough gravity to force it into a spherical shape.
Finally, the planet must be large enough that its gravity clears another object of similar size near its orbit around the Sun.
If it meets these criteria then the celestial body can be called a planet.
Planets are divided into two groups, namely the inner planets and the outer planets.
An inner planet is a planet that is between the Sun and the asteroid powder.
While the outer planets are planets that are outside the asteroid belt.
