Starbucks is one of the favorite coffee shops for many people. This coffee shop is famous for its quality coffee and various other drinks.
Apart from the delicious drink menus, many customers also like to go to Starbucks because of the comfortable cafe atmosphere and satisfying service from the baristas.
Even so, there are also customers who feel disappointed with the barista service at Starbucks. One of them was felt by this woman who claimed to be exposed to fat shaming when ordering food and drinks at Starbucks.
Launching thesun.co.uk (06/02), through a video on TikTok, a woman named Meredith told me that she went to Starbucks to order a drink and a sandwich for her boyfriend.
“I went to Starbucks and ordered a drink for myself and a sandwich for my girlfriend,” he said.
Actually the woman’s order is not so much. For a sandwich order, he asked for a bacon and gouda sandwich.
But Meredith admitted that the barista who served her gave her a cynical look. The barista looked unsure about this customer’s order.
“The barista looked at me. If you’re fat you can tell what kind of look he has. He gave me a sneer when I ordered a sandwich,” he continued.
“He (barista) gave me that look then asked ‘only one’?” concluded Meredith.
Actually Meredith didn’t want to overreact. But he is sure that the barista did it on purpose.
On another occasion, this female customer returned to the stall Starbucks whose location is unknown. This time Meredith ordered two drinks and two sandwiches.
Meredith thought her order wasn’t a problem and she would never see the barista again. But his guess was wrong because he was served by the same barista.
The barista did the thing that disappointed Meredith. The barista again taunted Meredith by stuffing both sandwiches in one bag and then taking her order in an intimidating gesture.
The viral video has been watched by more than 1.2 million people. Many netizens in the comments column are also baristas.
It is known from the comments of netizens, baristas Starbucks never put the same order in one bag. Surely they will use a different bag.
One netizen commented, “As a Starbucks employee I have never and will never put 2 sandwiches in one bag.”
Another netizen also agreed, “As a Starbucks barista, I can confirm that the sandwiches NEVER go in the same bag. Even if the orders are the same. I’m sorry.”
