Orbetello, mother and son were found dead in the garden of their home

The bodies of two people were found in the garden of a house in Orbetello, in the Grosseto region: they are now identified as those of a very elderly mother and her son. The house is located in a very remote area, and apparently the discovery was reported by a passerby who saw the woman on the ground, face down, in the driveway of the house. Thinking of illness he would have asked for help. The man was found instead inside an artesian well. It is not yet clear what happened and the police investigation is ongoing.

The deaths go back a few days

According to initial estimates, the deaths could go back a few days. The house is located in the open countryside, in a network of local roads that are not very busy: this location would have favored the delay in finding the bodies. The Red Cross and firefighters intervened on the scene.
