Temperatures have been heading upwards since this Friday afternoon, August 18, 2023. They will only increase until the beginning of next week. 6 municipal agents daily contact 130 people previously registered on a list. To make sure everything is fine, see if the person needs a ventilator, if they have visitors, etc.
“We always remind them of the instructions: close the shutters properly, remember to hydrate. We ask them if they have visitors because we pay particular attention to those who do not have one and would be alone. Marie-Thérèse Collu lives in Montauban and benefits from the scheme. She is reassured by this follow-up: “I have children not far away but everyone works, while there, every day, someone passes. We know that if something goes wrong, whether you fall or something else, they are there and can alert you. When you’re alone, it’s important”
Over the next few days, we will have to remain vigilant and adopt simple actions, such as avoiding going out during the hottest hours between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
