The “Orange” / “Oxdog Ulbroka” team on Monday celebrated the victory in the “Elvi Floorball League” only game. Ulbroka floorball players won the tournament leader Cēsis “Lekrings” with the result 9: 3 (3: 0, 4: 3, 2: 0) in their field, which suffered the second loss of the season.
The home team won the first period with 3: 0 and in the following match they never drove. In the “Orange” / ”Oxdog Ulbroka” team, Rolands Kovaļevskis stood out with four goals, but Matiss Kristian Morozov had two goals and two assists. Kevin Schmidt finished the match with 2 + 1 for the guests, who participated in all three goals. “Apelsīns” / “Oxdog Ulbroka” takes a stable third place in the tournament table, but “Lekrings” has already secured the victory in the main tournament.
It is expected that after the regular championship “play-off” the first round or quarterfinals will be up to two victories of one team, but later in the final four-tournament the champions will be determined, which is planned to be done by Midsummer. It is also planned that the final this season will not take place in “Arena Riga”, but in one of the Olympic centers in the regions. There are 12 teams playing in the men’s tournament this season, and eight teams in the women’s tournament.
