Actor and former American football player Brad William Henke (56) has died.

The death was confirmed by his front spokesperson Variety. The cause of death is not known.
Henke was best known for the role he played as prison guard Desi Picatella in the TV series ‘Orange Is the New Black’. He and his co-stars were nominated for the SAG Award, Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2017.
He has also starred in several other TV series, including ˜Dexter’.
Before becoming an actor, he played college football for the University of Arizona.
He was even good enough to be drafted to the NFL. Him first by the New York Giants, but he didn’t get any games for them due to injury. He was then drafted by the Denver Broncos and played in the Super Bowl Finals, by far the biggest sporting event in America, in 1990 for this team.
He put his football career on hold in 1994 due to injuries and continued as an actor.
