Orange D’s ‘I Got Raised a Dark Dragon’ paper book 3D cover
Orange D, a global content business company, announced on the 24th that it will publish the webtoon ‘I Got Raised a Dark Dragon’, winner of the 2021 and 2022 Ridi Webtoon Awards for two consecutive years, as a paper book.
‘I Got Raised a Dark Dragon’ is a steady-seller in Ridi’s romance fantasy webtoon field. It is a webtoon that was reborn by combining author Dalseul’s original work, which was popularly serialized in the webnovel field, with drawings by author Sotan. Sotan, who worked as an illustrator, made Dalseul’s fairytale-like story stand out even more with a warm and cute drawing style reminiscent of watercolor painting. In particular, it received favorable reviews for perfectly embodying the lovable main characters from the original work.
The publication of this paper book will be a gift to fans who feel disappointed after the webtoon was completed after about two years of serialization.
Additionally, in collaboration with Morfun, an AR collecting card made with the three main characters of the work was released on the 17th of this month. AR collecting cards using augmented reality technology project an augmented reality image onto the card by pointing a camera at a dedicated app. You can experience the work in a three-dimensional way as well as having unique fun. AR collecting cards can be purchased at Morfun Shop.
In this way, the fairy tale-like story ‘I Raised a Dark Dragon’, which is drawn together by the baby dragon Mu and charming characters, can now be owned as a paper book and AR collection card, and the completed webtoon can be viewed on the Ridi website and mobile.
Eun-seon Jeong, CEO of Orange D, said, “We plan to continue to actively pursue IP business, including paper books, video, animation, games, audio dramas, and goods using various Orange D original popular IPs.”
