On the night of Friday, precipitation will cover almost the entire country
A Snow Code Orange has been issued by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology for tomorrow, January 26. The warning is for the districts of Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv and Smolyan. A yellow code has been issued for seven other districts in Western Bulgaria. For Kardzhali, the code for snow and rain is also yellow, and for Haskovo – only for rain.
Tomorrow will be cloudy. There will be snowfall, mainly in South-Western Bulgaria, and in the North-Eastern regions it will mainly be rain, according to the NIMH forecast.

On the night of Friday, precipitation will cover almost the entire country. It will snow in the western half, and rain in the eastern half. Snowfall will be significant in the Rilo-Rhodope region, and in some places in the eastern half of the country there will be conditions for ice. A light to moderate east-northeast wind will blow. The maximum temperatures will be between 1° and 6°, in the eastern regions – slightly higher, in Sofia – 1-2°.
In the mountains it will be cloudy with snowfall, significant – after noon and overnight on Friday in the Rilo-Rhodope massif. A moderate to strong southeasterly will blow, and a southerly wind will blow on the highest peaks of Rila and Pirin. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around minus 2°, and at 2000 meters – around minus 4°.
