One of the biggest problems when adopting the cloud is the cost and effort of migration. To ease the process, today’s launch of Oracle Cloud Lift Services offers Oracle customers greater access to technical tools and cloud engineering resources to rapidly migrate workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Oracle now offers these resources at no additional cost to all Oracle Cloud customers – existing or new – worldwide.
“Our clients are looking for the perfect path to the cloud with the proper orientation, highly reliable architectures and the help we can provide, ”said Vinay Kumar, senior vice president, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “Oracle Cloud Lift Services is just one of several changes we are implementing to accelerate our customers’ success on Oracle Cloud.”
The new Oracle program provides a single point of contact across technical delivery and removes the expertise barriers required in adopting OCI services, accelerating time to value and creating faster opportunities to innovate. With Oracle Cloud Lift Services, Customers gain access to Oracle Cloud engineers and leading technical services that have already accelerated OCI migrations at companies like Seattle Sounders FC or Cargill. As part of the program, clients will have access to cloud engineering resources for activities such as performance analysis, application architecture, migrations, and start-up support. Oracle will work with customers until their workloads are in production and help train their staff on best practices so they have the expertise to manage the environment in the future.
Oracle Cloud Lift Services is just one of the changes that the multinational is implementing to accelerate the success of its clients in Oracle Cloud
Oracle customers and partners are already seeing the value of this new program and they are migrating to the cloud faster, in addition to not having to compromise their IT budget, which can be used for more expensive operational services and large digital transformation projects.
“Oracle Cloud Lift Services, along with Infosys Cobalt cloud offerings, help our joint customers accelerate their cloud migration work and modernize their landscape to drive business results more quickly. As a partner, we ensure client success through results-oriented transformation programs to help our clients become resilient, agile and competitive, ”said Gopikrishnan Konnanath, SVP & Service Offering Head, Oracle Services, Infosys.
Seattle Sounders FC, the American professional soccer club, has also benefited from Oracle Cloud Lift Services. “We have been working very closely with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to review our data systems and create next-generation analytics tools. This keeps us ahead of the competition, on and off the field. With Oracle Cloud Lift Services, we are able to accelerate our migration to the cloud by providing us with valuable hands-on experience through the Oracle Cloud engineering team, ”said Ravi Ramineni, vice president, Soccer Analytics and Research, Seattle Sounders FC.
The food industry has also opted for Oracle tools. Cargill works hand in hand with farmers, producers, manufacturers, retailers, governments and other organizations to feed the world safely, responsibly and sustainably. “At Cargill we are constantly looking for new ways to improve and expand our business. Oracle’s cloud architects took us from zero to full production with the Cloud Lift Services program and made the transition to launching new Cargill services on their cloud seamless, all while maintaining a strong focus on security. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure gave us the performance and support we needed to get off the ground and into the cloud, “said Terence Schofield, Quantitative Trading Technology Director, Cargill.
