This was followed by the “Opus-1” concert, a parade of compositions composed by our students, in which Magdalena Marta Dubrovska, Alice Rutkovska, Artūrs Bitenieks, Markus Priede, Ieva Vīksne, Anna Vilka, Elīna Lenora Medne, Terēze Josta, Made Guļane performed their compositions. The vocal ensemble “Kreksis” performed with a new song “Paldies” by Ināra Vičmanes. Thanks to teachers Inara Vičmanes and Velga Žvirble for encouraging students to write compositions!
Our event “Opus-1” was enriched by three of our graduates – Kristiana Miller, Edith Strauss and Rihards Jakuško, talking about their musical careers and performing their great compositions! We learned how they started composing music, how they dared to play what they had written for the audience. They too have had moments of doubt, difficulties in overcoming themselves, but it is amazing how goal-oriented they are and want to achieve a lot.
We are happy for the success of Kristiana, Edita and Rihards, for concerts, work in the recording studio, videos and we wish you luck in creating the planned albums! It turns out that so much has already been achieved!
