Optimum Sorting, a company from Hasselt that specializes in optical sorting machines, has achieved a world first. Their latest device, which is used to sort fragile fruit, has technology that does not damage the delicate product and detects errors at fractions of a millimeter. The precision of this Limburg technology is admired worldwide.
Since its founding in 2017 by Paul Berghmans and Steve Raskin, Optimum Sorting has continuously invested in research and development. “Our goal is always to offer the most advanced sorting technologies,” says Raskin. “At the same time, we try to reduce the environmental impact. Our desire is to increase the number of products that can be used after ordering, leading to less waste and thus contributing to a more sustainable future.”
In that context, the Magnus was just presented, a new sorting machine from Optimum Sorting. “This machine (TDA and H-Tec for those in the know) has technology that takes the accuracy and efficiency of sorting systems to the next level,” says Steve Raskin. “From our offices in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) , Denver (US), Turlock (US) and Chiang Mai (Thailand), we can offer this worldwide and strengthen our leading position in both the food and non-food industries.”
