Cancer fighter |Wen Songnan, who suffers from a rare “Ewing’s sarcoma”, is optimistic about fighting cancer and raising medical expenses in public: My family needs hundreds of thousands in the short term , which will be enough to cover my medical expenses for several months.

After Wen Songnan was diagnosed, he stopped working and was actively treated. He went through several rounds of chemotherapy and electrotherapy, but his condition kept relapsing, and he had to kneel and sit due to severe pain. He said that when he learned he had cancer, he didn’t feel anything special, but he was very calm:

“Because I didn’t answer correctly, I spent a few days back at home, feeling more and more anxious and worried. I also had to think about how I would explain to my company, my family and my friends.”

Due to his illness, Wen Songnan’s income decreased after he stopped working, and the medical expenses were expensive. He publicly raised money for medical expenses on social media. He also said that the cost of X-rays is the biggest burden at the moment, because public hospitals have to wait half a year for reports, while private X-rays cost tens of thousands to twenty thousands, and it is necessary on partial X-rays too. :

“In the short term, I need hundreds of thousands to cover my medical expenses for several months.”

Despite great difficulties, Wen Songnan remains optimistic. When interviewed by the program “QK Yuying Room”, Wen Songnan was smiling and full of fighting spirit throughout the whole process:

“But I sorted it out quickly. After a few days, I didn’t think about it anymore. I reminded myself that at least I could see my friends and be happy. I couldn’t imagine how difficult would be my life.”

Wen Songnan is currently doing the 17th electrotherapy, and a total of 28 times are needed. He said the hardest part was that it was very painful to lie down for electrotherapy. The first time he received electrotherapy, it was so painful that he had to use his willpower to hold it back:

“After I dried my glasses, I seemed to have no feeling in my legs. I was so shaken that I got off the bed and went down for about ten minutes to calm down. “

At this point, Wen Songnan has to take painkillers and morphine to relieve pain. which makes it very hard. But he still maintains good energy and thanks those who have always supported him:

“Thank you to everyone who may not know me, but they are so enthusiastic about sending messages of encouragement and donating money. Thank you very much.”

I wish Wen Songnan a speedy recovery and continue to influence and inspire more travelers with a positive attitude.

Ewing’s sarcoma is also known as Ewing’s sarcoma and undifferentiated reticulocyte tumor. Originating from primitive cells in the bone marrow, it is a common malignant bone tumor that affects teenagers aged 10-15 years. It is more common in children and teenagers, and is more likely to occur in the long bones of the limbs, pelvis, and long tube bones. Patients experience local pain and tenderness, high skin temperature, skin flushing, and superficial vein distension and filling. The swelling develops rapidly, and there may be a fever and an accelerated erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Pathological fractures are rarely associated. X-rays show that Ewing’s sarcoma has different manifestations, depending on where it occurs, sometimes, a periosteal reaction similar to onion skin can be seen at the diaphysis. A pathological examination can confirm the diagnosis. The pathological tissue images showed a distinct proliferation of small round cells, the cytoplasm of tumor cells was full of glycogen, and PAS staining was positive.

Treatment methods are mainly radiotherapy, surgery, and chemotherapy, and the combined effect is better than single treatment. Ewing’s sarcoma itself is sensitive to radiotherapy. However, radiotherapy cannot prevent development and metastasis. For solitary lung metastases, lobectomy and subsequent chemotherapy or local radiotherapy can reduce symptoms and prolong life. As long as the tumor can be pulled apart, it should be pulled out in addition to a moderate amount of radiotherapy and multi-drug chemotherapy.
