The largest opposition party in Turkey has complained about the counting of the votes in several thousand ballot boxes.
There were both presidential elections and elections for a new national assembly in Turkey on Sunday.
The opposition party CHP stated on Wednesday that they suspect irregularities in a large number of places. The CHP has formally complained about the counting of votes from 2,269 ballot boxes in the presidential election and 4,825 ballot boxes in the parliamentary election.
The supposed irregularities in some cases concern only one vote that is said to have been wrongly counted, while in other cases it is said to be several hundred votes.
In the presidential election, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did better than opinion polls had suggested. On 28 May there will be a new round of elections in which Erdogan and CHP leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu are candidates.
