Opposition demands “against agreements” rereading of the pandemic law: corona measures threaten to expire

It was over arms between the opposition and majority in the House Committee on the Interior yesterday. Opposition parties N-VA, Vlaams Belang and PVDA requested a second reading of the pandemic law: more specifically of the Royal Decree (KB) declaring the “epidemic emergency”, whereby the pandemic law can be used. The pandemic law stipulates that this KB must be ratified by parliament within 15 days. If this does not happen, the Royal Decree will expire, and there will no longer be an epidemic emergency, and therefore also not of the Pandemic Act.
