Opposite Men Who Punched Her, Grandma Is Overwhelmed With Support Pages all

SAN FRANCISCO, KOMPAS.com – A citizen Chinese 76 years old at United States of America (AS) who fought the man who attacked him was flooded praise because of his bravery.

Elderly woman (elderly people) named Xie Xiaozhen was originally waiting to cross the street in downtown San Francisco, USA, on Wednesday (17/3/2021).

Suddenly, a man hit him. Instinctively, Xie, who was from Guangdong, immediately hit back at the man with a wooden stick and the two fought each other.

The local police who came immediately dismissed them and took them to the hospital for treatment.

Uploads with the tag “grandmother Asian-Americans retaliated against their attackers ”went viral on Weibo, the website microblogging popular in China.

There are many netizen on Weibo praising Xie. Some netizen called Xie very brave while others indicated that Xie taught his assailants a “lesson”.

Others say that the Asian-American diaspora needs to unite and fight back.

A Weibo user also called for Asians to unite despite their differences, according to reports SCMP.

Very traumatic

Xie said he suddenly heard someone shout “China” before he was hit in the face.

Xie fought back using a wooden stick that was nearby, according to reports.

The video footage taken right after the attack showed Xie wailing as he placed an ice bag over his extremely bruised eye.

Meanwhile, the suspect of the assault was seen lying on a stretcher.

San Francisco police said a 39-year-old man was arrested and they were investigating the attack.

Xie’s daughter, Dong-Mei Li, said that her mother was very traumatized after the attack. He added that his mother’s right eye was injured.

“(He was) very scared and his eyes were still bleeding. The right eye still couldn’t see anything,” Dong-Mei Li told him KPIX-TV.

Xie’s grandson, John Chen, then raised funds through the GoFundMe website to help pay for his grandmother’s medical expenses.

He said his grandmother had serious eye injuries and a swollen wrist.

Chen added, Xie’s mental health was unstable because every time this matter was raised, her grandmother became very emotional and started crying.

In a statement, Chen said that Xie hopes that all of the younger generations unite and respect their parents.
