Three new smartphones for Oppo’s new Reno 9 series will be unveiled the following week, and we already know they will be incredibly powerful. One of them will have 16GB of RAM for the first time in this category.
Most of the technical specifications of the next Reno 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro +, which will be officially revealed by Oppo in the conference November 24th, was partially revealed a few weeks ago. But we still didn’t know how much RAM each device would use.
The most powerful model, the Reno 9 Pro+, is probably faster than most high-end smartphones, according to the Geekbench benchmark. The device will come with 16GB of RAM on top of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. The chip that came before the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ will have 16GB of RAM
Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ can compete with the most powerful Android smartphones of 2022 if it has up to 16GB of RAM. Because up until this point only a few high-end smartphones had access to such a huge amount of RAM. This will also be the first. The smartphone can offer no less than 512GB of storage which is not very common in this range.
Reno 9 Pro+ is not only very powerful, but it is also capable of taking great photos. Three cameras will be used on the back, including a 50MP IMX890 primary sensor. This is an alternative to the much loved IMX766, which is found in smartphones such as the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, Oppo Find X5 Pro, Xiaomi 12 and Nothing Phone (1). There will also be a 2MP macro sensor and an 8MP wide angle sensor.
Therefore, the smartphone looks very cool. We should not have wireless charging, but the battery will be provided by a 4,700mAh cell, compatible with 80W fast charging. The Oppo Reno 9 Pro+ could be launched in global markets. A few weeks after its availability in China under the name of Reno 9 Pro.
