Oppo is secretly developing chipsets for smartphones

Telset.id, Jakarta – Oppo does not seem satisfied with working only on smartphone products or IoT devices: this Chinese manufacturer is said to be working on a specific chipset or SoC for smartphones.

Actually Oppo has created its own chipset called Oppo Marisilicon which is a chipset that supports camera devices on smartphones. The chipset has been incorporated into several Oppo’s latest mobileespecially the flagship HP.

It’s just that Oppo’s efforts to make smartphone chipsets don’t stop there. A blogger who has access to information about Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company (TSMC), revealed that Oppo is currently developing a smartphone application processor.

According to the anonymous blogger’s information, the developed Oppo chipset uses 4nm manufacturing technology and a 5G modem. The chipset is expected to be released in Q2 2023 and will be mass-produced in Q3 2023.
