Gadgetren – OPPO has previously revealed that in 2022 they will focus on marketing 5G phone in Indonesia. In line with this strategy, OPPO Indonesia is rumored to be bringing a new mobile phone that supports 5G networks in the near future.
This was conveyed directly by OPPO Indonesia to the Gadgetren team through a written statement. Aryo Meidianto A as PR Manager of OPPO Indonesia said that his team and team are currently preparing several devices with the latest technology which will soon be introduced in Indonesia, especially in the middle of the first year.
“To be sure, most of these devices will run on 5G networks. We see that public awareness of this technology has started to build. This can be seen in the demand for 5G devices in 2021, especially in Reno5 5G, which at that time we increased the number of production due to high demand,” he said.
However, Aryo did not provide much information about what 5G model will be brought later to Indonesia so there are not many new things both in terms of specifications and designs regarding the new 5G devices that will be launched in the first quarter of this year.
“What is certain, if nothing goes wrong, seeing the development of 5G in Indonesia, it is very possible that we will increase the portion of 5G and 5G devices compared to 50:50,” concluded Aryo.
If you look back, in the first quarter of 2019 OPPO itself has started to enliven the Indonesian market with 5G mobile phones through the first generation OPPO Reno which is equipped with video calls using the 5G network. OPPO Reno 2019 is a 5G phone with support for up to 10x magnification.
Then OPPO has also introduced other 5G devices in the flagship segment such as the OPPO Find X and Find X2 Pro in mid-2020. Next in 2021 to be precise in January, the OPPO Reno5 5G mobile phone is officially marketed in Indonesia.
Not only OPPO Reno5 5G, OPPO has hit the Indonesian market by launching more 5G devices such as Reno5 5G, Reno6 5G, Reno6 Pro 5G, Find X3 Pro and OPPO A74 5G. In 2021, the largest portion of OPPO’s 5G devices will be the upper middle class.
In 2022, it seems that according to OPPO, along with the competition for 5G chipsets, OPPO believes that in the future the Indonesian market will have many 5G mobile phones circulating at more affordable prices.
