OPPO foldable phone is expected to launch in November

Jakarta (ANTARA) – OPPO is reportedly working on its first foldable phone, and according to Chinese tipster, the company will release its foldable phone in November.

While rumors circulating mention a number of main specifications. It is unclear whether the device will be called the OPPO Fold or something else.

Quoted by Gizmochina, Sunday, the alleged OPPO Fold is expected to feature an inward folding design like the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Huawei Mate X2.

It is also mentioned that the phone will be equipped with an 8-inch LTPO OLED panel that offers speed refresh 120W. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.

It was reported earlier this month that the OPPO Fold, which is claimed to be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery, will bring support for 65W fast charging. The device is thought to come pre-installed with ColorOS 12, but it’s unclear if it will feature the latest Android 12 or last year’s Android 11.

OPPO’s first foldable phone is expected to have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera on the back. There is no confirmation about the number of cameras that will be available in the back shell.

For the front camera, it will probably have a size of 32 megapixels. As for security, there may be a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

Other details of this foldable phone are still being kept under wraps. Apart from these devices, OPPO is also expected to announce a series smartphone Reno7 in China next month.

The lineup is said to include the Reno7, Reno7 Pro, and Reno7 Pro+. These models seem to be showing each one chipset Dimensity 920, Dimensity 1200, and Snapdragon 888.
