Oppo Find X6 Pro Tops Dxomark Photography Benchmark with Record Score

Two fight, the third laughs. The Dxomark photography benchmark ranking reports a new king. It became him Oppo Find X6 Pro, which reached the top of the well-known ranking with a score of 153 points. The novelty from Oppo thus surpassed this year’s Honor Magic5 Pro model by one point, and holds a four-point lead over last year’s Huawei Mate 50 Pro.

The phone owes its high score to the large photochips (the main camera has a size of 1″, the remaining two have dimensions of 1/1.56″), which have minimal noise even in poorly lit or completely dark environments, and at the same time excellent video stabilization. Testers liked the consistent sharpness of photos and rich textures in photos and videos, as well as the large amount of detail in the 0.8 – 3.5x zoom range. It is also worth mentioning the high-end portraits, where the subject is ideally focused, while the background is naturally blurred.

Even the current number one photomobile is not without its faults. During testing, Dxomark noticed occasional oversaturation of faces or missing HDR in the photo preview. The phone also had inconsistent exposure measurement, and group pictures had to be taken from a greater distance, otherwise not all people would be in perfect focus. However, it should be added that the limited depth of field is a common problem of all smartphones that are equipped with large sensors.

The phone received 153 points for photography, zoom options were rated 154 points. For video, the phone’s score was 148 points, 80 points for bokeh is the best result of all the phones that Dxomark has tested so far. The phone received the fewest points, namely 72, for the similarity of the photo in the viewfinder to the final photo. But this is perhaps the least burning of all the evaluated parameters.

One curious thing happened, even Dxomark is not infallible. After the results were published, the portal had to adjust some sub-scores due to an error in the calculation. Shooting in poor light received one point less, previews of photos from the original 74 lost two points. Would there be any other spells and lines? In any case, even the current photographic top model still has room for improvement.
