OPPO Find X3 Pro 5G Already Supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge, What Does It Mean?

Jakarta, Selular.ID – As technology develops, the capabilities of mobile phones have increased exponentially over the last few years. But there is one area that has been crucial since long ago. Yes, the battery component remains the most important feature of any phone.

The battery capacity has indeed increased to power the giant display that is power-hungry, super-fast chipset. Simultaneously, charging technology is also evolving.

There are many on the market, now we are presented with a 25W, 40W charger that can charge a 4000mAh battery in less than an hour. But OPPO is raising the industry bar even higher with SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge technology.

With the most powerful charger currently available at 65W, the charging process can pump a 4200mAh battery in just 38 minutes (from 0 to 100 percent).

So if your cell phone battery is empty when you wake up in the morning, just charge it for 15 minutes, and you can move all day.

SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge

The latest OPPO Find X3 Pro phone has a 4500mAh battery that you can rely on all day long. With SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charging, the battery can be charged up to 40 percent in just 10 minutes.

AirVOOC Wireless Flash Charge

Cell phones can also be charged wirelessly. Wireless charging on the OPPO Find X3 Pro is also equipped with fast charging. AirVOOC 30W wireless super-fast charging, the phone can reach 100 percent battery charge in just 80 minutes.

Reverse Wireless Charge

Sophisticated, OPPO Find X3 Pro can also act as a power bank, which can charge other devices, either wired or wirelessly. With 10W reverse wireless charging technology, users can share power with other OPPO Find X3 Pro users or other devices that support wireless charging.

Keamanan Fast Charging

Unlike the fast charging technology offered by other brands, OPPO guarantees device security when charging. Many smartphones have fast charging speeds but the OPPO Find X3 Pro 5G has the TÜV Rheinland Certified Safe Fast-Charge System certification which ensures the safety of the device when charging the battery quickly.

Entering the 5G era, fast charging technology is increasingly needed. OPPO itself has been designing it since a decade ago. Let’s take a look at the journey of OPPO’s fast charging technology and how the benefits of this charging system and its needs when the 5G era begins.

OPPO Fast Charging Technology

Since 2012, mobile phones with large screens have become a trend. The bigger screen and new features lead to a huge increase in power consumption. As a result, the battery capacity increases, but this results in very long charging times.

This problematic development forced OPPO to create a large-scale research project that resulted in an innovative solution for ‘low voltage and high current systems’, called VOOC Flash Charge. With OPPO technology, the charging time is significantly reduced, and the heat generated is reduced effectively.

The first smartphone with VOOC Flash Charge technology was the OPPO Find 7 from 2014. This gave rise to the concept of ‘charge 5 minutes, phone 2 hours’. Over time, VOOC technology was further refined. The OPPO Reno 2019 model has VOOC 3.0, with a loading speed of 200 percent higher than VOOC 2.0.

Meanwhile, OPPO SuperVOOC Flash Charge is on the market, a dual cell fast charging solution with excellent charging efficiency. This super fast charging solution made its debut in 2018 when the OPPO Find X Lamborghini Edition was introduced with an innovative 50W charger.

The latest model, OPPO Find X3 Pro, is built on this technology. The smartphone supports SuperVOOC 2.0. At 65 Watts (10V and 6.5 A), this is the fastest charging technology available for smartphones today. Intelligent tuning algorithm further enhances charging performance and charging efficiency.

Oppo is also the only manufacturer to use GaN (Gallium nitride). This third generation semiconductor material is characterized by high performance, speed and reliability.

Oppo’s lab is experimenting with mobile devices with more advanced charging technology.

It was 5G

We are now entering the super-fast 5G era. It is expected that data consumption will increase significantly in the coming years, as we will (probably) be watching more videos and high-resolution content simultaneously on our mobile phones. Cloud gaming is also becoming very popular. Thus, the 5G era will require a larger battery.

However, there is a limit, because the physical size of a smartphone is a limited quantity. We can’t (and don’t want to) make big phones to accommodate big batteries. There is another area that manufacturers can explore and use, and that is fast charging technology.

For OPPO, the presence of the 5G network means that the existing concept of ‘charge 5 minutes, call 2 hours’ will be upgraded to ‘charge 5 minutes, play games for 2 hours’.

Nowadays, smartphones are widely used to play online games, take photos, or make high-resolution videos. This activity requires far more power than just making a call. By further increasing the battery capacity and charging capacity, users no longer have to worry about running out of power.

Wireless Charging

One of the latest inventions in charging technology is wireless charging. In October 2019, OPPO introduced 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge technology, which is compatible with all Qi standards. While wireless charging is not entirely new, there has been a sizable increase in charging speed. 5W wireless chargers were used in 2018, and now we are at 6x higher speeds just two years later. The future is unfolding fast!
