Oppo Find N3: The Ultimate Flagship Folding Smartphone Review

KOMPAS.com – Oppo Find N3 is a smartphone with an inward folding mechanism similar to Oppo’s first “book” in Indonesia.

The Oppo Find N3 can be said to be an “unusual” folding cellphone because it has a normal size when folded like a non-folding smartphone, is not thick, and is equipped with specifications that are not half-assed, especially in the camera sector.

The definition of a folding cellphone with an inward folding method can actually also be applied to the Oppo Find N3. Because this cellphone has a main screen with creases that are almost invisible.

It is said to be almost because the crease marks can only be seen if observed closely from a certain angle, especially if the user views it in an area with fairly bright light conditions.

In fact, it’s so invisible that sometimes we can’t determine where the middle part that supports the folding mechanism of this cellphone is, considering the almost square shape of the main screen.

The main screen of the Oppo Find N3 itself has a 7.82 inch AMOLED panel with QXGA Plus resolution (2,240 x 2,268 pixels). This screen also has a pixel density of 426 PPI, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness level of 2,800 nits.

Again with the crease marks, almost invisible creases, as well as a wide and bright screen, users will be able to enjoy various content on the Oppo Find N3 Main Screen with satisfaction without interruption under any conditions.

Apart from being invisible, the crease on the successor to the Oppo Find N2 is also almost imperceptible when rubbed. In this way, the foldable cellphone screen can be said to be similar to most non-foldable smartphone screens, but just bigger and wider.

The Oppo Find N3 cover screen itself has an AMOLED panel with a size of 6.3 inches and a resolution of 2,484 x 1,116 pixels. This screen has a pixel density of 431 PPI, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a brightness level of 2,800 nits, the same as the main screen.

Both the Oppo Find N3 Cover Screen, as well as the Main Screen, can display content quite well even though both screens are exposed to hot sunlight.

Light, thin, tight and easy to fold

Apart from the screen being comfortable to enjoy, the experience of holding the Oppo Find N3 is also better than most folding phones with the same format or folding method, at least for devices released in Indonesia.

The reason is, this folding cellphone is quite light to hold, weighing “only” 245 grams.

Holding comfort also comes from the thickness of the Oppo Find N3 which is quite thin, namely around 5.8 mm when stretched and 11.7 mm when folded.

When folded, the Oppo Find N3 will also make users feel safe. Because, this cellphone does not leave a gap in the middle of the screen fold when it is folded.

Users also don’t need to bother folding Oppo’s newest folding cellphone. Because, Oppo has embedded the latest hinge technology called Flexion Hinge.

This technology means that the cellphone is not stiff when folded, but remains strong and durable. In internal testing, it is claimed that the Oppo Find N3 can be opened and closed 1,000,000 times.

The camera design is similar to the Oppo Find X6 Pro

Apart from the holding experience, the Oppo Find N3 also has a luxurious and beautiful design. The rear camera design, for example, adopts the same circular shape as the Oppo Find X6 Pro flagship cellphone.

In this module, there are three cameras which include a 48 MP main camera (Sony LYTIA-T808, f/1.7), a 48 MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2, 114 degree field of view), and a 64 MP telephoto camera (f/2.6, 3x optical zoom).

This cellphone is also equipped with two other cameras embedded in the Main Screen (20 MP, f/2.2) and Cover Screen (32 MP, f/2.4).

Returning to the design, the Oppo Find N3 shell adopts materials that look luxurious and premium. Incidentally, the variant we got was Champagne Gold, and this color features a cellphone body design coated in gold which looks expensive.

The level of luxury of the Oppo Find N3 is also increased by the frame and surface layer of the cellphone hinge which are made of aluminum. With this material, the device will look sturdy and not fragile, even though it is a folding cellphone.

Regarding the frame, the successor to the Oppo Find N2 is equipped with several quite complete holes and buttons.

On the bottom frame, there are two speaker grills, a microphone hole, a USB-C connector, and a SIM card drawer that can hold two nano SIM cards at once.

The same number of microphone holes and speaker grill are also found at the top of the cellphone frame.

On this side, there is also an infrared sensor (IR Remote) to control various devices in the house, especially those that have infrared receiver sensors too.

On the left frame of the device, there is a slider called Alert Slider to change the cellphone’s sound mode to vibrate, silent or ring.

Then on the right frame of the device, there is a volume button and a power button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner sensor.
