The film Oppenheimer was seen by 857,000 people in Dutch cinemas in one month. This makes it the most successful title ever in our country for British director Christopher Nolan.
Oppenheimer tells about the inventor of the atomic bomb and the double feelings that the scientist had about his discovery. The main roles in the film are played by Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt.
“The film is doing especially well in IMAX theaters,” reports distributor Universal Pictures International. Many people also visit the so-called 70 millimeter version, which can only be seen in the cinemas Eye in Amsterdam and KINO in Rotterdam. The term refers to the width of the film roll. Because 70 millimeters is twice as wide as 35 millimeters, the regular format, it offers room for much more color, sharpness and depth on the film screen.
Except Oppenheimer does too Barbie, which also premiered in mid-July, is above average. The comedy film about the world-famous doll by producer Mattel has now attracted more than a million visitors in Dutch cinemas.
