According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on the 19th, ‘Oppenheimer’ surpassed 1 million viewers within 5 days of its release.
‘Oppenheimer’ is a work about the nuclear development project of a genius scientist who has to risk destroying the world to save it. Starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr. and Florence Pugh. Directed by Christopher Nolan.
Regarding the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a genius scientist who changed the world, as the core material of the film, director Christopher Nolan said, “I wanted to take the audience into the mind and experience of a person who stood at the center of the greatest change in history. It was a film challenge,” he explained. In addition, he said, “In a movie featuring various faces, we needed actors who have distinct personalities and can be trusted,” and “the widest ensemble is the biggest feature of this movie.”
Director Christopher Nolan was previously loved for ‘Interstellar’, ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Tenet’. Expectations are high for the new box office record set by ‘Oppenheimer’, which has surpassed 600 million worldwide box office revenue and proudly ranked in Christopher Nolan’s top 5 film earners of all time.
