In general, the pursuit of these 4k, 8k, 16k is such nonsense, horror! As for me, 100+ fps is better (console players have not seen so much yet) than a huge resolution. It’s very resource intensive. I don’t know how it is on the TV, but on 1440p monitors it looks perfect and does not slow down. Yes, if you have a good full hd monitor, then the picture will be excellent in 1080p, and the combination of 144hz+ and high fps will give you a much better gaming experience than 4k even at 60 fps. The pursuit of resolution is a mistake, but here, apparently, the features of modern TVs force you to rely on resolution, despite the fact that even the hardware of an expensive computer does not always pull these 4k, let alone garbage consoles. Something else is funny here – even if your console is connected to a full hd TV set or monitor, you will still be limited in FPS (it’s good if it’s 60, not 30). And the most high 1440p there are essentially equated to 4k (and it was not supported at all on PS4pro, either full hd or 4k) and always work in quality mode (this is the name of the 15fps mode on nextgen consoles).
Sony has not officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro, but on July 21, insider Tom Henderson revealed that the company is working on the device, and its release could take place in November 2024. According to the rumor, Sony intends to improve the performance of games in 4K resolution with a stable frame rate, as well as add support for 8K.
