My Opinion: Hello, RB Leipzig! If even Heidi Klum celebrates you, you have lost nothing in football

Frankfurt am Main/Leipzig – RB Leipzig is the DFB Cup winner for the first time – and nobody cares! Rather, the exaggerated marketing fuss of the Brauseklub after winning the cup, the behavior of those responsible in the immediate aftermath 5-3 win after penalties against SC Freiburgthe lack of sympathy from the remaining German professional clubs, the poor mood at the victory celebrations and a “very special” celebrity fan that this “club” has nothing to do with football.
–
But let’s start at the beginning: Almost exactly 13 years ago, a bored Brause billionaire, who had often been accused of right-wing ideas, decided to launch a similar project in Germany, as before with Red Bull Salzburg.
After some back and forth, they finally bought the right to start in the Oberliga from SSV Markranstädt and marched as a lawn ball sport – whatever that may mean – Leipzig more or less effortlessly from promotion to promotion until the 2016/17 season for the first time was allowed to compete in the German football upper house.
What followed was recurring hostility from supporters of established traditional clubs, which the Brause construct did not simply smile at, but always reacted with provocations from its own ranks.

Winning the first major trophy in the club’s relatively young history marked a high point in this approach – including embarrassing marketing campaigns. Instead of being happy about the final victory despite being outnumbered for more than 60 minutes, RB managing director Oliver Mintzlaff (46) stormed like a bull… uh… mad cow disease overwhelmed in front of the cameras – only to be there from the disadvantage on the part of the referee team to ramble about Sascha Stegemann (37).
Leipzig’s coach, Domenico Tedesco (36), did little better just a few moments later when he accused the Freiburger Bank of a wave of “pure hatred” after Marcel Halstenberg (30) was given the red card.
Style and size in view of the success definitely look different – especially since the extremely evil and hateful people of Breisgau, above all cult trainer Christian Streich (56), congratulated every single RBler on their victory.

Now I can’t think of anything anymore…
Admission and champagne on the neck of the shower baron? The red and white scarf wraps around her neck almost by itself
Even in the moment of success, RB Leipzig shows no humility, no style and no respect
One or the other inappropriate comment in the intoxication of emotions after such a success – can happen. But how Kevin Kampl (31) happily dumps a can of sugar in the Holy Grail of German football – of course just by chance from the “RB Leipzig Celebration Can” – can hardly be explained with an emotional overreaction.
But even on the day after this heroic sporting achievement, the slapstick hodgepodge continued. Welcomed by a not insignificant number of fans in their hometown, the celebrations in front of the Red Bull Arena at the latest showed that there was probably little real fascination for the young, up-and-coming club.
Because what should not be missing from a proper party? That’s right, the club’s own song. But while Frank Dreibrodt (44) and the Leipzig mascot “Bulli” jumped across the stage as if bitten by a tarantula and the anthem interpreter began to sing the first syllables, he was almost the only one among thousands who could be heard far and wide – could have gone better!

But not only their own fans could not do much with the glorious triumph of their “Pride of the East”. The remaining 35 professional clubs in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga could not really bring themselves to offer official congratulations either. Well, not quite: After all, in addition to the extremely questionable TSG 1899 Hoffenheim construct, FC Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn (52) also congratulated – wow!
Evidence completed? Not quite yet! Because there is one thing that no one can take away from the Red Bulls: Model mom Heidi Klum (48) was probably the most loyal and desirable football fan in recent history on the side of the shower bombers. Unfortunately, she didn’t seal the fate of the bull hat wearers with her iconic, distinctively squeaky “I don’t have a photo for you, unfortunately” – would have been too nice.
Then a cool…energy drink – cheers!
