Opinion approved to exempt district municipalities from registration fees

The Commission on Economy, Banking, Finance and Financial Intelligence unanimously approved the proposal to modify Law 31056, which extends the terms of titling of land occupied by informal possessions and dictates measures for formalization, in order to incorporate to the district municipalities in the exemption from the payment of registration fees.

The ruling issued in Bill 6221/2023-CR, authored by Congressman Eduardo Castillo Rivas (FP), seeks for district municipalities to be beneficiaries of the exemption from registration fees for the fulfillment of their functions of formalizing property ownership. within the scope of its jurisdiction.

With this measure, according to the opinion, 1,890 district municipalities are provided with greater facilities to guarantee the efficient and effective execution of the formalization processes.

“Given the lack of resources, the benefit of the exemption from payment of registration fees will be a great incentive to carry out the formalization processes,” said the president of the Economy, Banking, Finance and Financial Intelligence Commission, César Revilla Villanueva ( FP).

He indicated that lower-income residents will also benefit and the housing programs proposed by the State and more than one hundred thousand homes will begin their formalization process, among other benefits.

A vote was pending to incorporate the proposal, under the responsibility of drafting, by Congressman Jorge Coayla Juárez (PB), which proposes including regional governments among the beneficiary entities.

APEC GROUP

PENSION SYSTEM

Revilla Villanueva announced that the head of the MEF portfolio will be called next Thursday, at 2:00 p.m., to hear his opinion on the ruling in question; and the same with the person in charge of Sunat.
