“Operational Control Department completes reseeding for Bicentennial Stadium to host Sub 20 World Cup”

The Operational Control Department is in the last stage of reseeding the Bicentennial Stadium which will host the Sub 20 world.

In the last few hours, they released images of how the playing field was, where 800kg of seeds were distributed and covered with sand, keeping the property humid for 24 hours. Once this process was completed, we waited for the seeds to burst before continuing with the work of fertilization, aeration with solid spikes and helical cutting.

With the new sprouted grass and ready to start with the new cuts, the task was extended for 10 more days to leave the field in good condition. Also, in the auxiliary field The reseeding tasks are being completed and it is estimated that as of May 10 it will be ready to be used.

In both courts they will be able to carry out training and stipulated matches according to the calendar of events proposed for the sports center. It is important to note that this process is carried out every year between April and May; and was carried out with more than a dozen workers from Operational Control.

The reseeding tasks are necessary to achieve a grass carpet that generates a good rolling and sliding of the ball and in this way, that the San Juan del Bicentenario Stadium meets the high standards demanded by national and international organizations.
