Operation Wolf was released in 1987, which of course was then primarily made for arcade machines, and only later for platforms such as ZX Spectrum or NES. The team of Microids and Virtuallyz Gaming decided to renovate and bring the game back into the public consciousness with a little modification. Thus, they first created Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission as a VR game, which has now also arrived in a traditional version.
The original game was one of the first railshooters, and this gameplay has been preserved in the new game. Of course, the visuals have been thoroughly improved, but at the same time it has remained a bit retro. The creators promise that from the first minute you will feel the atmosphere typical of the action movies of the 80s, in which the crushing will not stop for a single moment – either alone or together with a friend.
Those who previously invested in the VR version either on PC or PlayStation 5 will of course now also receive the traditional version for free. Or we can also say that no matter which version we invest in, both game modes are available to us.
