Anyone traveling by train today will have to be patient: Due to a rescue operation on Wednesday morning, no journeys were possible on the route between Graz main station and Gratwein-Gratkorn station.

“Please allow up to 200 minutes more travel time in this area,” was the request from ÖBB on Wednesday morning. The reason: Due to a rescue operation, no journeys were possible between Graz main station and Gratwein-Gratkorn station until early afternoon. The exact background to the rescue operation is not yet known. The long-distance trains waited for the closure for the time being. A rail replacement service was set up. “Please note that space may be limited and therefore use alternative travel options if possible,” the ÖBB asks.
Route interruption lifted
The situation should now have eased again. According to ÖBB disruption map No journeys were possible on the affected route until around 12.30 p.m. The route interruption has since been lifted.
